Facilitated by NCACPA’s CEO, Mark Soticheck, CPA, CGMA, this session is your opportunity to share “what’s keeping you up at night” for live discussion (and brainstorm/hear other solutions) with peers, exchange insights with like-minded professionals, and gain fresh perspectives to tackle your toughest challenges. This event is occurring intentionally during one of the busiest times of year for sole practitioners to facilitate real-time support for what you’re facing right now. Mark P. Soticheck, II, CPA, CGMA, serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA), overseeing all operations and collaborating closely with the Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Nominating Committee to achieve the association's objectives. Prior to becoming CEO in July 2024, Mark was NCACPA's Chief Operating Officer since May 2016, during which he significantly enhanced member engagement, operational efficiency, and strategic direction.
Before joining NCACPA, Mark accumulated over a decade of experience in public accounting with Dixon Hughes Goodman LLP and served as Chief Operating Officer for Fidelity Bank for three years. His commitment to the profession is evident through his service on various boards, including NCACPA’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee, the Triangle Land Conservancy as a board member and treasurer, and North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management’s Accounting Advisory Board.
Mark earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Florida State University and is an avid Seminoles fan. Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Lisa, and their children.
