Description
Many organizations are now aware that technology requires the highest level ofcontrol development effort as compared to other segments of the control system.Since it is sometimes true thatthose charged with creating measures for technology do not have the technical prowess to understand all of the controlled processes, there is a trend that moves technology professionals into control creation roles. This session is designed to provide an “in the trenches” view of creating measures to govern technology and the important step of implementing these controls. Successful organizations have low instances of “non-adoption” of technology and a realistic goal of 100% implementation and the information in this session is designed to help with the achievement of this goal.
Objective
Once participants have completed this session,they should be able to:•Understand processes fordevelopingtechnology measures;•Build technology control measure creation processes;•Understand how to reduce instances of failed or not fully accepted technology implementations, and•List methods to verify that current technology controls are aligned with technology usein and aroundthe entity.
