NCACPA established the Outstanding Member in Government Award to recognize a member for outstanding service and leadership within governmental accounting. The individual selected will be recognized during the NCACPA Recognition Dinner and at the Local Government Conference. Members selected to receive the award are also eligible for consideration for the AICPA’s award, provided the nominee is an AICPA member.
To be eligible for the Outstanding Member in Government Award, the nominee must be:
- A member of NCACPA and employed in a federal, state, or local government entity.
- Distinguished by having made a significant contribution to the field of governmental accounting.
- Currently not serving as an officer of NCACPA, or as a member of the NCACPA Board of Directors.
