Roll up your sleeves and support your community! The Western Carolina region is pleased to be joining forces with OnTrack WNC Financial Education & Counseling on Saturday, January 7, from 9:00 am–4:00 pm for Ask a CPA Volunteer Day. We are seeking area CPAs as volunteers to provide personal and small business financial advice to local citizens. We will schedule FREE one-hour private appointments for participants throughout the day at the OnTrack WNC office located at 50 South French Broad Avenue in Asheville.
This special event has been publicized in local newspapers and the radio, and NCACPA member Ed Fidelman spoke with radio station WWNC last month to promote the event and provide listeners with ways to learn more about money management at www.360financialliteracy.org. You can listen to a recording of the broadcast here.
NCACPA is still in need of volunteers for this event! To sign up, log on to Connect and register through Volunteer Match. For the first 20 volunteers who sign up, NCACPA will donate $25 to OnTrack’s Mad City Money, a financial literacy program that provides high school students with real-life experience managing money.
