The Business Registration Division within the NC Secretary of State’s Office will send notice mailings in just a few weeks.
These mailing are for 1) Suspensions by the Department of Revenue, 2) Notices of Grounds for Administrative Dissolution of Business Corporation, and 3) Notices of Grounds for Administrative Dissolution of LLC.
The Business Corporation Notices of Grounds will cover the fiscal years 2018 and 2019. The LLC Notices of Grounds will cover the 2020 fiscal year.
We will begin mailing the notices beginning mid-December. The mailings will be sent out over a 12 week period. The mailings are going out later than we would like due to COVID issues.
We understand these mailings will coincide with the 2020 tax filing season and want to clarify these notices are not for the current 2021 required filings. Please take whatever action is necessary for you and your clients.
