Pups and Pints was friend-filled and fun!
Thirteen women and five dogs gathered at a bar specializing in craft brews last week for Pups and Pints. Despite heavy rain and parking challenges, we were all happy to enjoy the camaraderie. We sampled craft beers and ciders, swapped stories, shared ideas, and, of course, played with the adorable pups. Thanks so much to Renee Leonard, and her furry pup, Moose, who came up with the idea and organized the event that seemed to enjoyed by all—so much so that we ALMOST forgot to take a few photos!
So glad to see all of those Triad Women’s Initiative Networking Group women (and their dogs) who were able to make it out:
Brenna Aube
Melissa Burroughs
Veronica Butler
Sandra Enesi
Susan Ingram
Renee Leonard
Marjorie Loflin
Paula McMillan
Corry Molter
Shannon Morton
Taylor Parks
Susan Pierce
Sarah Stanley
We look forward to the next event, organized by Monica Cox. Monica has kindly arranged for us to volunteer at Out of the Garden on Thursday, September 20th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm, in honor of the NCACPA CPA Day of Service. (Note that this volunteer event is one day prior to the official NCACPA CPA Day of Service, at the preference of Out of the Garden.) Out of the Garden’s mission is to keep children from going to bed hungry. Not only the largest agency of our kind in the Triad (providing more than 1,250 bags of food each weekend to students and families at nearly 60 elementary, middle, and high schools), they also have 22 fresh mobile markets each month they take out to areas of Guilford County in need and distribute food. Please mark your calendars! More details will be forthcoming. Thanks, Monica!
Warmest,
Paula
