NCACPA is committed to…
The Association is committed to cultivating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) throughout its membership, leadership, staff, and business relationships. The Association will continue to grow the accounting profession and strengthen the pipeline by increasing diversity within the profession, creating greater access for historically marginalized students and professionals. We believe the adaptability and sustainability of the Association and the broader accounting profession will be achieved through DEI.
We define DEI as:
Diversity: We strive to be reflective of the communities we serve by including individuals who have unique perspectives and experiences, which goes beyond race and gender to include gender identity and expression, age, ability, sexual orientation, religion, education, and more.
Equity: We strive to uphold practices and policies that create access and reduce barriers to participation for members, staff, and stakeholders.
Inclusion: We work to create an environment where all member and staff perspectives are valued and respected, and individuals are able to contribute their best work to the association and the profession.
By prioritizing and embracing DEI, we will be able to achieve our vision of a highly valued accounting profession that advances the success of individuals and organizations. We embed DEI within the association and the profession by:
♦ Offering learning & development to members and staff (Highly Valued Professional Development)
♦ Providing leadership & connection opportunities for members (Enhanced Engagement)
♦ Strengthening the pipeline of the accounting profession and positively contributing to the communities we serve (Increased Advocacy & Awareness)
♦ Upholding equitable practices and policies (Governance and Operational Effectiveness)
